Winter Park: Spring Break & Splash

BIG SKY
Spring hits different in Montana, and Big Sky’s Spring Series proves it. Every Friday through Sunday in April the Mountain Village Plaza turns up with DJ performances, setting the vibe for sunny laps and slope-side celebrations. For those who prefer their beats with a view, The Bowl at the base of Lone Peak transforms into an open-air amphitheater, hosting a stacked lineup of live performances. BLUE MOUNTAIN, ON
Big air, big tricks, and big vibes. Blue Mountain’s March Big Air Show is back and bigger than ever. From Monday to Thursday evenings, Smart Alec trail transforms into the ultimate stage as Ontario’s top athletes send it off the XL Big Air Jump under the lights. CAMELBACK
Spring sends and retro vibes take over Camelback Mountain in March with two can’t-miss events. Sunbowly Rail Jam sees skiers and riders throw down their best tricks, with DJ Highland on the decks and plenty of swag up for grabs. Then, break out the neon and leg warmers for the 20th Annual Pond Skim, an 80s throwback party on the slopes. Prizes for Best Skim, Best Costume, and Best Splash mean there’s only one rule: go all out.

COPPER MOUNTAIN
Spring’s last hurrah is back with Sunsation, Copper’s signature season sendoff in April. Throw on your best tropical gear and enjoy the slushy, sun-soaked vibes with free live music presented by High Noon, giveaways, and high-altitude après. For those who like their spring skiing with a side of chaos, Slush Rush delivers in May. Teams of three take on the Superpipe Slalom, Cross Course, and YETI Rails & Pond Skim, where speed, style, and sheer nerve earn the win.

Dolomiti Superski: Moena Vintage Ski Revival

DOLOMITI SUPERSKI
Ski into spring with a soundtrack. Dolomiti Ski Jazz bring the valleys of Fassa, Fiemme, and Cembra to life with smooth sounds and high-energy performances. Kronplatz Ski & Music Festival features live bands and street musicians, as well as top DJs from Verona to Berlin turning the slopes into an open-air dancefloor. Step back into the 70s & 80s with a weekend of vintage ski fashion, tribute bands, and legendary performances at Moena Vintage Ski Revival. Alta Badia Ski Carousel Vintage Party celebrates the final ski weekend in full throwback style, and Locknfescht at Kronplatz offers one last ride – or attempt to – across the melting Låcke pond. Some will glide, some will sink, and everyone will celebrate.

KILLINGTON
April at Killington is all about big bumps, wild costumes, and live music. The Bear Mountain Mogul Challenge sees skiers throw down on Outer Limits’ legendary moguls, battling for the top spot. The annual Pond Skim follows, where style points matter as much as staying dry. Kparks Spring Send-Off celebrates the terrain park season with a jam session, free food, and Burton giveaways. Dazed & Defrosted brings together spring-soft snow, live music, and a season passholder appreciation BBQ at K-1. Down at Canyon Lodge, the Pond Skim brings a different kind of challenge – cross 100 feet of frigid water in full costume or take a chilly dip.

PANORAMA
Panorama’s Pride & Ski Festival returns in March, bringing a full weekend of celebration to the slopes with live performances and vibrant après festivities. The energy keeps rolling in April with Red Bull Slopesoakers, a mash-up of a rail jam and pond skim where creativity and commitment go hand in hand. For a family-friendly splash, the Superhero Slush Showdown invites skiers and riders of all ages to suit up, take flight, and test their luck skimming across the water. Costumes are encouraged, prizes are up for grabs, and for those who don’t quite make it, Ski Patrol will be on hand to fish out the fearless.

RED’s Slush Cup needs no introduction. The world-famous pond skim returns, daring skiers and riders to send it across the ice-cold red pool – or make a splash trying. With prizes for best dressed, best bail, most creative and more, this is spring skiing fun at its finest.

REVELSTOKE MOUNTAIN RESORT
March madness at Revelstoke means the snowpack is at its peak, and so is the energy. The excitement kicks off with the Yeti Natural Selection Tour – designed to push twenty-four of the world’s best snowboarders to new limits of raw creativity and all-mountain mastery in the heart of interior BC. Adding to the action, the King and Queen of the Mountain competition shakes up the terrain park scene with a high-stakes, winner-takes-all showdown over the final weekend of the month.

Grab your sunscreen and get ready for The Canadian Rockies’ secret season. At the end of April, Mount Slushmore brings the party to Banded Peak Base Camp with live music, cold drinks, and a pond skim where some glide and others take the plunge. At the beginning of May, Holy Bowly returns to Banff Sunshine with its signature dreamlike park builds, transforming the mountain into a playground for creativity. Speed meets style at the Sugarloaf Banked Slalom, where riders race the clock through a winding course of banked turns down classic East Coast terrain. Then dust off your cowboy boots for the Tall Timber Music Festival, blending Americana sounds with Sugarloaf’s storied past. Keep the party going at the 37th Annual Reggae Fest with four days of live music and sun-soaked après. Finally, send it across the pond, if you dare. The Pond Skim Championship returns and whether you get across or take the plunge, it’s all about making a splash.

SUN VALLEY
The world’s best alpine athletes carve into Sun Valley for the Audi FIS Ski World Cup Finals, the only North American stop where top men’s and women’s racers battle it out in Downhill, Super-G, Giant Slalom, and Slalom. Spring takes center stage with Dollar Dayz at the end of March, featuring the season’s final send at Dollar Mountain’s Pond Skim, giveaways, and the Kona Big Wave bar.
