Summer Dog-Friendly Activities and Hotels at Ikon Pass Destinations

This summer, bring your pup along on your alpine adventures. When you have an Ikon Pass, there’s no shortage of legendary destinations with amazing outdoor activities and dog-friendly hotels to accommodate both you and your furriest friends.

Aspen Snowmass

Let Fido run among the wildflowers at the magical summer oasis that is Aspen Snowmass. Hop aboard the Silver Queen Gondola at Aspen Mountain for a lift to wide-open Rocky Mountain vistas and hiking trails, like Richmond Ridge Trail and Ajax Trail. Plus, you’ve got solid lodging options, like Limelight Aspen and Limelight Snowmass — both proud pup-friendly establishments that have been welcoming dogs (with complimentary bowls and placemats!) for more than 40 years.

Copper Mountain

If you’re a live music lover, your dog will be howling alongside you at Copper Mountain’s flagship free concert series, Copper Live, or at any of the resort’s other music offerings, like Copper Country Music Fest and Union Peak Festival. You can also lunch with your pup at Downhill Duke’s, complete with on-menu treats, or Après at Aerie. Copper has a variety of pet-friendly lodging options and 24/25 Ikon Pass holders can even score a free scenic chairlift ride to your next leashed hike.

Palisades Tahoe

You and your pup will love Palisades Tahoe’s plentiful hiking options, like the Shirley Canyon trail and lake for a refreshing mid-hike dip. Afterwards, post up at the PlumpJack Inn, the Olympic Valley’s only dog-friendly hotel — your pooch also gets their very own bowl and bed. Ikon Pass holder pets and their humans ride the Aerial Tram for free, but you can also get a Palisades Tahoe Pet Pass complete with pet photo for $10, proceeds going to the Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe.

Revelstoke

You’ll find pups on nearly every outdoor patio at Revelstoke in British Columbia — check out all of this Canadian gem’s dining options, including The Rockford Bar | Grill at the base of the mountain.
Revelstoke also has excellent lodging options for you and your four-legged companion, like the condominium-style Sutton Place Hotel and the cozy Sandman Hotel. Plus, as an Ikon Pass holder, you can enjoy a 35% discount at both of Revelstoke’s dog-friendliest accommodations.

Steamboat

You may know Steamboat as Ski Town U.S.A.®, but Steamboat Springs was also named “Dog Town USA” by Dog Fancy magazine, so you can rest easy knowing that your furry friend will be welcomed both in town and at select hotels. Bring the pup to Steamboat’s plethora of summer events, like the free Stranahan’s Summer Concert Series and the Coca-Cola Movies on the Mountain, or splash around the Burgess Creek Beach before a patio happy hour at The Range Food & Drink Hall.

Tremblant

Take your furry bestie on a dog-friendly hike like no other in the heart of Quebec’s Mont Tremblant, where dogs are welcome on most of the trails. Hoof it to Tremblant’s summit, or take a leisurely ride on the Panoramic Gondola to the 360° Observation Tower for legendary views of the Laurentians — dogs and 24/25 Ikon Pass holders can ride the gondola for free in the summer and fall seasons. Leashed pups are welcome in Tremblant’s pedestrian village, as well as the Fairmont Tremblant and Le Westin Tremblant hotels.

Winter Park Resort

Let your pup tag along for base-to-summit fun at Winter Park Resort, including pet-friendly summer events, like Tacos + Margs in the Mountains, and live music on the green at Sunspot’s Mountaintop Happy Hour. Winter Park’s village shops are all dog friendly, as is the Summer Scenic Gondola — plus, 24/25 Ikon Pass holders get free gondola access to the high-alpine trails. After your hike, get your pup a well-deserved ice cream cone from Sunspot and end the night at The Vintage Hotel.
