ROCKIES At Alta, new remote-triggered avalanche control on Mt Baldy will be operational for the 23/24 season, opening more terrain sooner after storm cycles. This winter will also welcome completed terrain work located off the Supreme lift.Brighton likes to go big, and this season is no different. 23/24 will see a new six-person lift that replaces the aging Crest Express. In addition, this Utah staple will open the doors of their modern mid-mountain-industrial Snake Creek Lodge.Grooming, service, and style are all synonymous with Deer Valley Resort. Winter 23/24 will focus heavily on improved snowmaking, grooming, ski rental equipment, food & beverage offerings, and building amenities.At Colorado's playground, Winter Park is revamping its Pioneer Express Lift from 4-chairs to 6. With an increased uphill capacity, this lift will also include a new mid-station at the Pioneer Express Trail and Big Valley intersection, eliminating the need to ski all the way to the bottom terminal. EAST Quad chairlift construction at Loon Mountain. At Killington Resort, significant investments have been made in snowmaking and grooming throughout the entire mountain. And, if you find yourself at The Beast, be sure to stop in and enjoy the newly opened K-1 Lodge.Loon Mountain is coming through with a three-fold improvement that includes a brand-new quad chairlift, 50% more beginner terrain, and an additional 30+ acres of new territory to explore.Next door, Pico Mountain is welcoming another major investment in snowmaking. All told, Pico will now be able to run more guns simultaneously than ever before. Guests will notice this extra capacity, especially on the coldest days when snow output will be maximized across the mountain.Across Stratton's major lifts, new RFID gates will ease access and reduce congestion. Additionally, a reimagined Learning Zone is in the works for new riders to the scene, including new covered carpets and regraded slopes for progressive learning.At Snowshoe, be on the lookout for the first new chairlift since 2006. With greater snowmaking density and efficiency, Blue Mountain will extend its winter offerings while significantly reducing on-mountain prep time.Panorama Mountain Resort is rolling out substantial investments for winter 23/24.
