Winter Park Resort

Deck the Slopes | Nov 29 – Dec 24
Winter Park kicks off the season with its Deck the Slopes series in the Village. The festivities begin with the Holiday Tree Lighting on Nov 29, followed by themed weekends featuring reindeer and holiday drone shows on Dec 6, Dec 13, and Dec 20. The season culminates on Dec 24 with the resort’s classic Christmas Eve torchlight parade – a glowing train of skiers and riders descending the mountain under winter stars.

Holiday Slate in Steamboat Square | Dec 20–31
Steamboat layers on the holiday atmosphere beginning with Santa Saddles Up from 1–3 p.m. on Dec 20, followed by a Holiday Drone Show later that evening and a Holiday Skate Party on Dec 20. The Festival of Lights continues with a Hanukkah menorah lighting on Dec 21, complete with songs and treats. Steamboat closes out the year with a New Year’s Eve snowcat parade and fireworks on Dec 31, blending tradition with mountain spectacle.

Christmas at Big Sky | Dec 21–25
Christmas in Big Sky feels like a postcard brought to life. Across several days, families can send Letters to Santa from a special drop at Kircliff, hunt for hidden Christmas bells, and line up for photos with Santa in Mountain Village. Christmas Eve brings religious services, holiday dinners, a torchlight parade, and fireworks that light the cirque above Lone Peak.

New Year’s Eve & New Year’s Day First Tracks | Dec 31 & Jan 1
Ring in the new year with an all-mountain celebration. Start the afternoon at Everett’s 8800 with DJ sets, then head to Mountain Village Plaza for live music leading into a 9 p.m. fireworks show. After midnight, the party continues at Montana Jack for late-night dancing. On January 1, trade the dance floor for early-morning corduroy with New Year’s Day First Tracks on Ramcharger 8, giving you a head start on your 2026 laps.

Santa in The Village | Dec 21–24
The holiday spirit spreads through The Village at Palisades Tahoe from December 21–24 with Santa on the scene. Each afternoon, Santa pops up in classic spots, from near the big chair to the kid’s craft room and Patagonia Stage, meeting families, handing out candy canes, and joining local carolers for seasonal tunes.

Christmas Eve Dinner | Dec 24
Gather with family and friends on Christmas Eve for a special holiday dinner at the Olympic Village Event Center. Featuring a chef-crafted buffet and decadent desserts to seasonal toasts, this evening meal is crafted to feel warm, indulgent, and celebratory, a perfect complement to a day of winter fun.

New Year’s Eve Family Celebration & Torchlight Parade | Dec 31
Ring in the new year with Palisades Tahoe’s New Year’s Eve Family Celebration. The mountain lights up at 5 p.m. with an annual torchlight parade down the slopes, live music, a ball drop, and fireworks that illuminate the valley. Snow Summit – Santa Comes to Summit | Dec 20 Santa makes a special stop at Snow Summit on December 20, trading his sleigh for snow gear as he visits the mountain to spread holiday cheer. Families can catch Santa around the base area for photos that add a classic winter touch to a day on the slopes.

New Year’s Eve Torchlight Parade | Dec 31
Snow Summit closes out the year with a New Year’s Eve torchlight parade on December 31. As night falls, join a glowing line of skiers and riders descends the mountain, creating a festive send-off to the year.

Ski with Santa | Dec 23–24
At Schweitzer, Santa doesn’t just visit the Village, he takes a few laps, too. On December 23 and 24, families can find Santa and Mrs. Claus cruising the slopes, joining a kids’ parade down Midway, and settling fireside as Mrs. Claus reads holiday stories. It’s a festive two-day tradition filled with charm, photos, and plenty of cheer.

Mt. Bachelor

Santa on the Slopes | Dec 24
On Christmas Eve, Santa trades the sleigh for skis at Mt. Bachelor. Spend the day trying to spot him cruising around the mountain, passing out candy, and stopping for quick photos between laps. It’s a fun, easy way to add a little holiday magic to your ski day.

Santa Run | Dec 25
Keep the festive energy going on Christmas Day with the Santa Run, a group ride where skiers and riders suit up in Santa gear for a spirited descent. Join the train in red and white or post up trailside to cheer on the crew as they cruise by.

Holidays in the Mountains | Dec 19 – Jan 2
Panorama’s Holidays in the Mountains program fills late December with festive detail. Live ice sculpture carving runs Dec 21–24, followed by Flying Santa and Christmas Dinner at the Great Hall on Dec 25. X Games 25th Aspen Anniversary | Jan 23–25
X Games Aspen brings an immersive festival atmosphere to the valley. Audi Power of Four | Feb 21
The Audi Power of Four ski mountaineering race challenges teams of two to cross all four Aspen Snowmass mountains in a single push. With roughly 24 miles and over 10,000 vertical feet of climbing, it’s one of the toughest endurance events in North America and a bucket-list goal for backcountry and fitness-oriented skiers.

The Snow League | Feb 27 – Mar 1
The Snow League launches a new era of snowboarding in Aspen. This global competition format brings together top riders for head-to-head matchups and a season-long points chase, with each stop building toward naming the first Snow League champion.

Hot Doggin’ World Champs | Apr 3–4
Hot Doggin’ World Champs at Aspen Highlands is a throwback to the roots of freestyle skiing. Skiers throw down in moguls and bumps wearing retro gear, while an après scene full of neon, denim, and live energy turns the mountain into an ‘80s- and ’90s-inspired party.

Hometown Throwdown & Spring Celebrations | Mar – Apr
The Hometown Throwdown on Bald Mountain is a three-discipline competition that tests carving, moguls and off-piste terrain, and air, crowning the most versatile skiers on the hill. Dollar Holler and Dollar Dayz bring park-driven energy to Dollar Mountain with features, creativity, and spring vibes, while Baldy Bash and other late-season events send off the season with music, parties, and laps under the Idaho sun.

Winter Pride Week | Jan 6–11
Winter Pride Week, led by Big Sky OUT, brings a full schedule of LGBTQ+ community events to the mountain. Easter Celebrations | Apr 5

Spring Series & Pond Skim | Saturdays in April

Snowghost Banked Slalom | Mar 28–29
Hosted with 7B Boardshop, the Snowghost Banked Slalom is a hand-dug, throwback competition that winds through berms and banks on Schweitzer’s natural terrain. All proceeds support the Bonner County Skatepark Association. Expect fast times, creative lines, and a classic Northwest vibe.

The Dirksen Derby | Dec 19–21
The Dirksen Derby returns December 19–21 with its iconic hand-dug, side-by-side banked slalom courses. Snowboarders and sit-ski athletes from around the world come together for a weekend defined by community, flow, and friendly rivalry on the lower mountain. It’s one of Bachy’s most beloved traditions.

Big Wave Challenge | Mar 27–29
Gerry Lopez’s Big Wave Challenge brings the spirit of surfing to Mt. Bachelor each March. Athletes ride a custom-built course inspired by ocean swell, blending style, speed, and creativity in a celebration of snowboarding that feels equal parts contest and cultural gathering.

RendezVan Festival | Apr 16–19
RendezVan transforms the base area into a sunny spring campground filled with RVs, vans, families, dogs, and spring-lap devotees. From April 16–19, the celebration blends soft-snow skiing with live music, food, community gatherings, and the unmistakable energy of van-life culture at Mt. Bachelor.

Sugarloaf

75th Anniversary | Season-long
This winter marks Sugarloaf’s 75th anniversary, and the celebration runs all season. Look for special events, live music, and exclusive activations for Ikon Pass holders, from on-mountain parties to throwback nods to the resort’s deep Maine heritage.

Electric Mountain Festival | Jan 10–11
Electric Mountain Festival turns Sugarloaf into a slope-side EDM weekend. With world-class DJs, light shows, and parties at The Widowmaker, the Beach, and across the resort, the mountain keeps buzzing long after last chair.

Fire on the Mountain | Jan 29 – Feb 2
Fire on the Mountain celebrates the spirit of the Grateful Dead with tribute bands, themed parties, and a community of Deadheads who return year after year. Reggae Fest | Apr 10–12

Bomb Hole Beatdown | Jan 10
The Bomb Hole Beatdown is a free snowboard rail jam that brings the Bomb Hole crew back to Loon for a day focused on culture and community. Open to all levels, it’s about progression, creativity, and sharing the park with riders from near and far.

Torchlight Parade | Jan 17
Loon’s Torchlight Parade celebrates the snowmaking crews and systems that keep the mountain sliding all season. A torchlight descent, fireworks, and evening festivities turn a mid-winter night into a full mountain gathering.

Last Call with Eastern Boarder | Mar 23
Last Call is the longest-running snowboard event in the East and draws riders from around the world. With a cash purse on the line and creative features on display, it’s a showcase for style, progression, and Eastern snowboarding’s core scene.

’80s Day | Mar 28
’80s Day turns back the clock with neon, retro outfits, and an all-mountain party. Expect a live ’80s cover band, après, and endless throwback photo ops.

Slushpool Party | Apr 4
To close the season, Loon’s Slushpool Party invites skiers and riders to skim across a pool of meltwater in front of a fired-up crowd. Costumes encouraged, dry land not guaranteed.

Freeride Frenzy IFSA Junior Regional | Jan 29 – Feb 1
Freeride Frenzy brings the Kootenays’ best junior freeriders to terrain like Millennium, Elkhorn, and Taynton Bowl. Athletes are judged on line choice, fluidity, technique, control, and style as they navigate steeps, trees, cliffs, and chutes, using the mountain’s natural features to showcase creativity.

Wild West Winterfest | Feb 14–15
Wild West Winterfest turns Panorama into a snow-covered frontier for Family Day weekend. Look for live music, BBQ lunches, fireworks, and a special morning with the Calgary Stampede as the resort fuses western culture with a long weekend of skiing and riding.

Pride & Ski Festival | Mar 19–22
The Panorama Pride & Ski Festival returns for its third year, celebrating the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, friends, and allies. The weekend blends on-mountain games and guided tours with village activities like crafts, yoga, and a Drag Ball featuring special guests.

Ikon Pass Holder BBQ & Retro Pond Skim | Apr 4
Wrap the season with an Ikon Pass Holder Appreciation BBQ, where valid pass holders can grab a complimentary lunch while supplies last. Stick around for the Retro Pond Skim, one of the most entertaining days of the year, as skiers and riders in throwback gear try their luck skimming across the pond at the bottom of Smart Alec.

Le Massif de Charlevoix

Rossignol Women’s Weekend | Jan 24–25
Rossignol Women’s brings together women and women-identifying skiers and riders for a weekend of progression and connection at Le Massif. Participants join Rossignol ambassadors for on-snow workshops tailored to intermediate and advanced levels, enjoy exclusive demos, shared meals, après at Pub Le Grand-Duc, and a dinner at Camp Boule, all focused on building confidence and community.

Mt. Norquay celebrates 100 years of skiing in the Canadian Rockies with an anniversary event that honors its racing roots, family-friendly slopes, and long-time locals. Details are still to come, but expect a full-day birthday party at one of Canada’s most historic ski hills.

Partner Spotlight: The North Face Skintrack Series

While easy up and crushing the down still holds the crown, uphill travel is having a moment. This winter, Ikon Pass partner The North Face brings the Skintrack Series to select destinations, inviting skiers and riders to trade lift rides for moonlit climbs, sunrise summits, and shared meals on the mountain. Grab skins, snowshoes, or uphill gear, join a guided group or go at your own pace, and earn every turn on routes that highlight each resort’s unique personality.

Winter Park – The North Face Moonlight Uphill | Jan 31, Feb 28 & Mar 28
On three moonlit nights this winter, Winter Park guests can break out their boots, snowshoes, or touring setups and climb to Snoasis for an intimate on-mountain dinner. Guides are stationed along the route for support, or you can set your own pace to the lodge. After dinner, ski or ride back to the base under the stars with a quiet, headlamp-lit descent.

Blue Mountain (CAN) – The North Face Sunrise Climb | Feb 7
The North Face Sunrise Climb at Blue Mountain starts before first light, with guests skinning, snowshoeing, or hiking to the top of Gord’s Groove. At the summit, watch the sun break over Georgian Bay, then enjoy first tracks back to the base and a hot breakfast to round out the morning, along with prizing and giveaways from The North Face.

Stratton – Summit Under the Stars | Feb 21
At Stratton, Summit Under the Stars turns an uphill into a full evening out. Guided groups of varying speeds skin to the summit, with rental gear available for guests who need it, before regrouping at Hubert Haus for warm drinks and a quick transition. The night ends with a ski back to the base and a Vermont-inspired farm-to-table dinner.

Tremblant (CAN) – Touring at Night | Feb 28
Touring at Night at Tremblant begins with a climb from the base of the Soleil side and finishes with a groomed descent down a South side trail under starry skies. Back at the base, guests gather at Chalet des Voyageurs for a hearty mountain-style dinner. Since its debut at Festival Rando Alpine Tremblant in 2015, this event has become a must for the local touring community, blending challenge, discovery, and a festive atmosphere.

Crystal – Nachtspektakel | Mar 28
Nachtspektakel at Crystal brings a European twist to the Skintrack Series. Participants climb from the base area to Campbell Basin Lodge, gaining roughly 1,850 vertical feet and pausing at a mid-mountain station along the way. At the lodge, a warm interior, outdoor fires, dinner, drinks, and music set the tone before groups ski back down in the dark by headlamp. Capacity is limited, and guests must be comfortable climbing on alpine touring gear and skiing intermediate terrain.
