WHERE TO CATCH LATE SEASON LAPS AT 5 IKON PASS DESTINATIONS
There’s nothing quite like the feeling of skiing well into spring, let alone, summer. It’s like effortlessly gliding from one season to the next on pillows of fresh powder, and perhaps just as important — on one pass.
With the Ikon Pass, you can ski and ride for as long as Mother Nature allows at more than 50 destinations across the planet — some with Buy Now, Ride Now* access so you can hit the slopes immediately at up to 16 destinations. Squeeze every second out of your pass with these iconic snow holdouts, some of your best bets for late-season shred sessions.
Arapahoe Basin
Ski and ride like a local at A-Basin — the down-to-earth Colorado destination that’s known for having the longest season in the state. Conveniently situated on the Continental Divide almost entirely above tree line, A-Basin’s impressive base elevation of 10,500-plus feet helps hold quality snow through June, and even up until the Fourth of July. With some of the best snow preservation in North America, you’ll have to ski it to believe it — they don’t call it “The Legend” for nothing.
Killington – Pico
Every year, the snowmaking team at the Beast of the East, Killington Resort, aims its trusty snow guns directly at the resort’s longest run in hopes of creating a better-than-ever version of the fabled Superstar Glacier. This 1,200-foot-long mogul-covered slope will keep you cruising power laps and shredding sun-soaked slushy bumps well into the summertime, while most other New England resorts close by May — and with longer days, the high-speed quad lift keeps on spinning until 5 PM.
Mammoth Mountain
Forget about spring skiing — with some of the deepest snowpack in North America, Mammoth will have you hitting the sunny slopes well into the summer. This Golden State gem proudly holds the title of California’s highest ski resort and has 65 percent north-facing slopes, two factors that help you glide right into Mammoth’s “Second Season” and beyond. Slap on the sunscreen; perhaps you’ll get a chance to take some turns come August during another historic season of snowfall. You can also ride your way into summer at Mammoth Bike Park — flash your Ikon Pass to use your free bike park day perk.

Palisades Tahoe
Averaging 450 inches of snow each season, it’s not uncommon to see skiers and riders hitting the slopes at this Northern California gem well into the summertime. Heralded as the Spring Skiing Capital®, Palisades Tahoe often sees some of their biggest snowstorms in March. After a season of late-season snowfall in the Sierra Nevada range, you can count on carving some corntastic crystals through at least a couple seasons — last year’s closing date was the Fourth of July.

Winter Park
There are few things better than mountain mornings on crisp corduroy and afternoons on soft slopes — all under a sunny bluebird sky. With some of Colorado’s most consistent snowfall, peaks that graze the Continental Divide, and a base above 9,000 feet, skiers and snowboarders can enjoy Winter Park’s legendary terrain well into spring. Keep riding ALAP (As Late As Possible) over on the Mary Jane side — last year was mid-May! — and swing by The Jane Beach every weekend.
