Shred for Sustainability

Ikon Pass is committed to building and protecting the mountain playgrounds where everyone can shred. Throughout the 20/21 season, and in collaboration with one of our partners in sustainability, American Forests, we dedicated the Shred for Sustainability campaign to fighting climate change from east coast to west coast, one tree at a time.

Shred for Sustainability – The 20/21 Contest

Throughout the season, we invited the mountain community to join the fight against climate change by tracking their vertical feet on the Ikon Pass app. This ensured that every set of first tracks, every turn carved, and every lap made, it all added up towards a positive change.

At the end of the season, pass holders who claimed the coveted top 10 spots on any participating North American Ikon Pass destination leaderboard were each given 50 trees planted in their name. When combined, these pass holders helped to plant over 22,500 trees in 6 Ikon Pass mountain communities across the USA and Canada.

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.  The “Ikon™ Pass Shred for Sustainability 2020-2021” Contest is subject in all respects to the complete Official Rules available by visiting the contest webpage located at  www.ikonpass.com/shred-for-sustainability or by sending a S.A.S.E. to “Ikon™ Pass Shred for Sustainability 2020-2021” Contest – Rules Request” c/o Alterra Mountain Company, 3501 Wazee Street, Suite 400, Denver, Colorado 80216, Attn: Shred for Sustainability (VT residents may omit return postage). Open only to entrants who, as of the entry date, are permanent legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia and Canada (excluding residents of the Province of Quebec) who are at least 18 years of age or older and who have reached the age of majority in the province or state in which they reside.  The contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law.  Contest entry period begins at 8:30a.m.Mountain Time (“MT”) on Thursday, October 1, 2020 and ends at 5:00p.m. MT on Sunday, April 11, 2021 or the date of the last day of the Ikon™ Pass 2020-2021 winter season, whichever occurs first.  LIMIT: One (1) entry per person (regardless of method of entry) or address (physical or email).  Entry methods, limits, restrictions and instructions, and prize information, requirements and restrictions are set forth in the Official Rules.  Sponsor:  Alterra Mountain Company, 3501 Wazee Street, Suite 400, Denver, Colorado 80216.
