The East Coast is open for business. On Friday, November 1, Killington Resort, in Vermont, fired up the snowguns in preparation for opening day. The lifts started churning on Sunday, November 3 for the official start of the longest season in the East. Killington is the first Ikon Pass destination to break the banners for East Coast opening day.

Snowmaking at Killlington in preparation for East Coast opening day

Open Terrain

Killington launched the season with about 600 vertical feet of open trails, all advanced terrain. At this time, no beginner terrain is open and top-to-bottom skiing and riding is not yet available. However, Killington’s snowmaking operations are hard at work to open more terrain over the next few weeks.
